How the pieces
fit together

Exchange Ave does not stand alone. It is one part of a wider digital nation, and it connects to the rest through three things: exchangeave.com, the app, and the Exchange Engine underneath both.

What each
part does

One is a front door, one is a workspace, one is the plumbing underneath. They are never in competition — each does a job the others cannot.

The house. Public identity, the network directory, the standard, the case for joining.

Who: communities evaluating whether to start a node, funders, partners, press, curious first-timers.

Job: explain, convene, qualify, and hand off to the app.

The app

The floor. The application itself — where offers are posted, matched, met, and logged, at app.exchangeave.com.

Who: members and stewards inside a network, every day.

Job: circulate value — the one surface a member touches every day.

Exchange Engine

The plumbing. Identity, offers, geography, ledger, reciprocity — five systems, one shared implementation.

Who: nobody directly. It is inherited, not visited.

Job: make every node interoperable without making every node identical.

Every "Start an exchange" and "Sign in" on this site resolves to app.exchangeave.com. Network pages deep-link straight into that network inside the app.

The app publishes aggregate, consented figures back to the public network map — counts of exchanges and active nodes, never individual records.

The site documents the engine as the standard a joining community adopts. The application form on this site is the first write into the engine's identity system.

The app is a thin client over the five engine systems. Anything the app can do, another node's interface can do through the same contracts.
